SEED Program
Supervision for Effective Staff Development
This program is a year-long program for supervisors to develop expertise in building high performing teams.
What does this program provide?
- A framework to mentor and coach any employee into an independent, proactive member of your team
- A process to identify development areas for each employee and build a customized development plan
- A coaching conversation model to structure supervision meetings and feedback sessions
- A staff development toolkit including customizable observation tools, employee work-plans, and coaching exercises
- A curriculum-series for staff-team to deepen youth development practice and continuous learning within your organization
- An opportunity to network, problem-solve and exchange strategies with other supervisors in the non-profit field
Who should apply?
You should apply if…
- You are currently supervising 1-10 people
- You want to learn new strategies to develop, mentor or coach employees
- You want to build your organization’s infrastructure to provide on-going learning and growth for staff
- You want to implement strategies to build a high performing team
What are the program requirements for supervisors?
- Attend a 2-day kick-off retreat on October 14th and October 20th from 9:30-1:00 PM
- Attend a monthly 2 hour cohort meeting
- Provide 12 1:1 coaching sessions to at least one employee during the program (2 per month)
- Attend 2 additional After-School For All: Organizational Leadership or affiliate programs (free of cost)
- Complete a final evaluation
